How do I join a computer to the domain?
NOTE: You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group in order to complete this procedure.
1. Logon as Administrator.
2. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. The System Properties dialog box is displayed.
3. On the Computer Name tab, click Change.
4. On the Computer Name Changes dialog box, select Domain and enter the name of the domain in the text box, as shown below.
5. “domain name” or “domain name.org” (without the quotes)
6. You will be prompted for a password, enter the administrator username and password, click OK
7. When the Welcome to the domain message appears, click OK. You will need to restart you computer for the change to take effect.
8. Once the restart is complete the computer is part of the domain.
