I cannot download all my email, what can I do?
        This document applies in the following circumstances:
                - You POP3 your email from the mail servers
                - You try to download your email but it keeps failing halfway through, causing you to be
                   unable to get all your email
               
        Solutions/ Workarounds:
1.      You can access your email via webmail. (and then delete the email which you have already downloaded)
2. You can change Outlook so that it only downloads the message headers.

To configure outlook this way, follow the steps below:
a) Click “Tools”, “Send/Receive Settings”, “Define Send/Receive Groups…” (See screenshot below)



b) The following window pops up.
    Click “Edit”


c) The following window pops up.
    Select the “Download item description only” (marked in red)

This will cause only the message description or header to be downloaded. No attachments are downloaded.

Click “OK”




d) Click “OK” and close the other window

e) Now click “Send/Receive”
Your email will now be downloaded, but only the message description. 

f) When your email has completed downloading, you can delete the emails you don’t want, and
mark the ones you do want by right clicking on the email and choosing an option (see below)

You must then click “Send/Receive” again for the previous steps changes to happen.


Do not forget to change this setting back to normal once you download all your email successfully.
